We at CARE Counseling are thrilled to announce our partnership with the MINNdependent School Forum to bring you invaluable resources to teach social and emotional learning (SEL) as well as practice self-resiliency. SEL provides a foundation for safe and positive learning, and enhances students' ability to succeed in school, careers, and life as well as provides additional support to yourself as an educator.
WHY SEL?
ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENT: SEL Shown to raise students’ achievement scores by 11-17%.
FOSTERS POSITIVE ATTITUDES: Provides students a greater ability to properly manage stress and depression. As well as SEL provides students with a greater motivation to learn and teachers a deeper commitment to school.
LESS DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR: Schools who engage in SEL saw a 10% reduction in behavioral problems.
